Plot Summary

“Enakku Innoru Per Irukku” delves deeper into the tale of the character Johnny (G.V. Prakash Kumar), who initially leads a simple, uneventful life until his world is turned upside down. Despite his timid disposition and a crippling fear of blood, he is identified by the local gangsters in the Royapuram underworld to be the next big leader following the death of the previous don, ‘Naina’.

This new role thrusted upon him brings with it an array of challenges that Johnny must face. Furthermore, his predicament intensifies when he falls in love with Hema (Anandhi), a bright, vivacious girl who happens to be the daughter of a former gangster. The relationship adds a new dimension to Johnny’s life, pushing him further into the criminal community he is so reluctant to join.

In his attempts to maintain this delicate balance between love and duty, Johnny experiences several humorous and nerve-wracking situations. These instances serve to highlight his growth from a timid youngster into a person capable of protecting himself and the people he cares about. Production

Helmed by Sam Anton, “Enakku Innoru Per Irukku came under the production banner of Lyca Productions, a renowned name in the Tamil film industry. G.V. Prakash Kumar and Anandhi were selected to play the lead roles due to their prior successful on-screen chemistry. Cinematographer Krishnan Vasant and music composer G.V. Prakash Kumar played crucial roles. 

The team worked in several locations around Chennai to capture the raw essence of the city and the underbelly that forms a central part of the story. Ultimately the movie released in June 2016.
