Plot Summary

“Samar” begins its narrative with Sakthi (Vishal), a trek guide in Thailand who lives a carefree life filled with adventure. He leads a peaceful existence until he crosses paths with a woman named Maya (Sunaina). The two meet during Sakthi’s trek, and their connection is undeniable. They enjoy each other’s company, leading to mutual affection. This peaceful phase, however, is abruptly disturbed when Maya disappears without a trace, leaving Sakthi in a state of profound confusion. He starts his quest to find her, driven by the love and concern he feels.

This quest leads Sakthi back to India, where his life takes an unexpected turn. Upon reaching India, Sakthi encounters a cab driver who bears an uncanny resemblance to him. This look-alike character, Roopa, is engaged to Rupa (Trisha). Due to the striking similarity between Sakthi and Roopa, a case of mistaken identity occurs. Rupa mistakenly thinks Sakthi is Roopa and confesses her love for him.

Sakthi, unknowingly and unwillingly, becomes embroiled in the complications of Roopa’s life. Moreover, he must also deal with the unanticipated dilemma that results from Rupa’s confession of love. The story culminates with Sakthi confronting and overcoming the obstacles in his path.
